Sailing

Sailing at Claires Court is available for all pupils from year 5 upwards. Senior pupils can opt to sail in Games lessons and all pupils from Year 5 upwards can sail after school during the Summer term. We also run two pre-term camps each year at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy in Dorset - home of the 2012 Olympics and base camp of the GB Sailing Team, as well as an annual trip away during the October half term.
All of our instructors hold the relevant National Governing Body qualifications and we are an RYA Recognised Teaching Centre and BCU Paddlesport Provider.

eSailing
While we are in lockdown and unable to sail, students are continuing to participate with the help of Virtual Regatta Inshore, and coaching from our staff.
For more information, see our Lockdown Cup page

The school sails at Taplow Lake, Amerden Lane, Taplow which is just a short drive from the Senior Boys site.

Students are brought to the lake by school transport, and we have our own boats and storage facilities at the lake.

Our students' skill levels range from Beginner through to those competing at National and International levels, and our coaching team is highly skilled and experienced, with personal experience of competing and coaching at National and International levels.

The Fleet

We have a large fleet of boats owned by the school, which is regularly updated so that everyone has access to the most appropriate and modern equipment to allow them to succeed at whatever level they choose.
